Good ideas from the outset In 1945 Karl Dungs founded his electrical shop. He was quick to recognize the potential offered by electronics for improving the ignition and control of gas burners. By 1964 he had developed one of the first electronic automatic gas burner controls for forced air burners to be tested by the TÜV and approved by the DVGW. Working together with customers to find innovative solutions, the company gradually expanded its range of products over the following years. This laid the foundation for a company that is today one of the world's leading manufacturers of components and complete systems for gas safety and control technology. There are three production sites: in Urbach and in Osnabrück, Germany, and in Hedensted, Denmark. Karl Dungs A/S in Hedensted, Denmark, has its own, in-house, aluminum die-casting facilities. The Denmark subsidiary expands Dung's product range to include small gas fittings and provides additional production capacity to safeguard the company's future growth and expansion. Fifty years after its foundation, DUNGS remains a family business, managed by the second generation. Karl Dungs himself remains in close personal contact with both customers and employees. This ensures customer proximity and an atmosphere of trust and cooperation. |
