Operating Principle
  • REGFIRE® regenerative burners operate in pairs

  • Burner 1 generates the necessary heat by burning the fuel-air mixture

  • At the same time, burner 2 extracts the hot exhaust gases

  • In the process, the exhaust gases transfer a large portion of their heat to the ceramic honeycomb bodies

  • After about 30 seconds, the burners switch over, and the pilot burner of Burner 2 initiates the combustion process

  • The combustion air now flows through the now-hot honeycomb body of Burner 2 and is preheated in the process

  • The exhaust gases leave the combustion chamber via burner 1 and heat its honeycomb body

  • After about 30 seconds, the switch occurs again and the cycle is complete
