Last week he was replacing automatic firing control units in an industrial plant, today he's working on a ship – our job is as varied as it is demanding!
This time, the maintenance of the gas control systems on the ships Willem Barentsz and Willem de Vlamingh of the Doeksen shipping company was on the agenda. This involves a number of special requirements:
✅ Additional regulations such as the IGF Code must be observed
✅ Special materials are prescribed – which is why the DUNGS FRM-S for marine applications is used
✅ Double-walled pipes with the spaces between the walls filled with inert gas
✅ The entire gas line is located in a specially secured ESD room (Emergency Shut Down)
✅ And not to forget: the confined space makes maintenance a real challenge!

Sometimes external influences present us with sudden challenges – as was the case here: A gas inlet section on an industrial furnace became seriously misaligned. Such a large misalignment within the gas pressure control section posed a considerable risk.
During a customer visit, we were confronted with an urgent request for assistance. The customer saw an immediate need for action to avoid safety concerns. No question about it – DUNGS Service sprang into action right away! 💙🚀
The project was completed in just three weeks – from the order to the procurement of spare parts and installation. The customer carried out the welding work, while our team organized and installed the spare parts.
The result? A safe and stable gas pressure control line – thanks to efficient cooperation and fast response times!

A major renovation project has been completed🎉 and successfully commissioned by our service team👨🏼‍🔧🔧The customer processes and coats fabrics. The fabric panels are coated on stretching frames. The requirement was to redesign the burner technology for one of these stretching frames.
