Counterfeits: How to recognise fake products
On first impressions, it might be difficult to distinguish a counterfiet product from an original DUNGS product.There are however two distinct indicators of authenticity:
Registration number
The approved DUNGS original products bear the registration number of the approval body. For example, CE-0123 and/or CE-0036. This CE marking guarantees that a CE test has been carried out by a certifying body authorised by us.
Trademark
All our products contain a DUNGS® trademark. It is either printed, embossed or moulded on the product. On very small products, it can be found on the nameplate.
Caution: Some counterfeit products come with fake test certificates that are not valid. In general, we can verify the authenticity of all documents enclosed with a product.
